What to Do After a Pedestrian Accident

Be proactive and call the police when an automobile accident has occurred. If questioned further, give an honest account of what transpired, but refrain from making any assumptions. Victims of accidents are often in a state of shock and worry and may apologize profusely even if they were not at fault. The insurance company may use your good faith to dispute a claim on the grounds that you accepted blame for the incident in question.
