Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident Statistics
The United States has one of the highest rates of traffic fatalities and injuries in the world, with one person killed and ten injured per minute. There are two million deaths and ten times that many injuries among those under the age of twenty-four every year. By the year 2050, it is expected that over 10,000 people will have died in car accidents in California alone.
Since 2013, the annual average increase in traffic-related fatalities has been 23.5 percent. In the United States, 3,898 persons lost their lives and 279,000 were injured in automobile-related mishaps in 2017. Nine people per one hundred thousand who rode public transit that year were killed.
It seems as though every California motorist has a terrifying tale from their time behind the wheel. Defensive driving strategies, including keeping a safe distance from the car in front of you, always being alert, and frequently checking on your vehicle’s status, can lessen the risk of car accidents.

Accident victims, still in shock from the tragedy, may apologize for things even if they had no part in causing them. This might not sound like an admission of guilt to you, but it will bolster the insurance company’s argument against paying out on your claim.
