[02-08-2023] Violent Two-Car Crash in Lake Balboa Kills Two People, One InjuredTwo drivers were killed and another injured after a two-vehicle crash in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning, February 8, 2023.

The fatal collision reportedly occurred around 3:45 a.m. at the 6400 block of N. Balboa Boulevard near Victory Boulevard.

According to authorities, a Corvette driver crossed a red light at over 90 mph before hitting an Accord.

After crashing into a large sign near the strip mall entrance, the Accord landed on its roof.

The collision was so severe that the Accord was split in half and overturned on its roof. The engine of the sedan ended up in the strip mall parking lot.

The Corvette was thrown into the strip mall parking lot, which damaged a strip mall sign, and a portion of one car ended up in a restaurant.

Responders arrived at the scene and pronounced that the Accord driver, a woman in her forties, had died.

Meanwhile, the Corvette driver was transported to a hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

A passenger in the Corvette, believed to be in their 20s, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
