A 26-year-old man identified as David Danik S. was killed in a deadly multi-vehicle collision in Rialto on Thursday afternoon, February 10, 2022.
The fatal crash happened at the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Rialto Avenue at approximately 12:31 p.m.
A black 2018 Infinity drove away while officers from the Rialto Police Department were conducting a traffic stop in the area. The officers then pursued the vehicle.
As the Infinity was driving through Cactus and Rialto Avenue intersection, it crashed into three other vehicles.
Unfortunately, the Infinity driver was killed in the accident. One of the involved drivers was injured in the crash.
It was revealed that the Infinity driver was on parole due to a felony conviction for evading a peace officer from 2019. He was found with a stolen semi-automatic handgun, an illegal 30-round magazine, and narcotics in his car.
Local authorities are further investigating the case.
