Pedestrian accidents are often fatal. In almost all cases, pedestrians sustain severe injuries following a collision between two vehicles.

American highways have witnessed a dramatic increase in pedestrian injuries and deaths. Car accidents have historically caused the most harm to pedestrians.

Pedestrians must use sidewalks, avoid drinking and using drugs, cross parking lots, and drive cautiously. This reduces the likelihood of them being injured during these encounters.

What Should I Do After an Accident

Ensure that law enforcement arrives at the scene of the collision and files a report. During an interview on-site, be honest about what you saw and experienced. Avoid making assumptions about things you don’t understand, and speak carefully. As a result of their anxiety and shock, victims may apologize profusely immediately following an accident, even if they were not at fault.

Insurance companies may construe this act of kindness as an admission of guilt to avoid paying out the claim.
