One unidentified woman was found dead following a fire that broke out in a motel in Sacramento on Monday, February 21.
The fatal incident occurred around 6:00 a.m. at Motel 6 in downtown Sacramento.
Surveillance shows a man armed with a sledgehammer was found leaving the motel room.
The police have detained the man for questioning his involvement in the motel fire and the events that led to the woman’s death.
There are no other details available.
Local authorities are still investigating the incident.
