Officers from the California Highway Patrol are looking for a driver who struck and killed a woman in west-central Fresno on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
The fatal hit-and-run accident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Valentine Avenue near Floradora Avenue.
According to police, the driver struck the woman while she was walking down the street and then fled.
The 33-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local authorities have not yet disclosed her identity.
The suspect may have driven a GMC Sierra pickup truck between 1999 and 2007 model according to investigators.
The truck was dark in color, had tinted headlight lenses, and was possibly damaged. Witnesses speculated that the truck had been lifted.
The accident remains under investigation.
