[03-28-2023] Two-Car Crash in Corona Killed One Person, Injured Two OthersOne person was killed, and two were injured after a two-vehicle crash in Corona on Tuesday night, March 28, 2023.

The deadly collision reportedly occurred around 10:15 p.m. between Foothill Parkway and Rimpau Avenue.

According to authorities, the 43-year-old man was driving a Tesla through the intersection on a green light when a Ford F-150 driver ran a red light and broadsided the vehicle. Paramedics immediately responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The Tesla passenger, a 45-year-old Corona male, was brought to a regional trauma center to treat minor injuries. At the same time, the pickup driver, also a Corona man, was taken to the same hospital to treat minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was not apprehended. It is still unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role, and further investigations are ongoing.
