[03-31-2024] Fresno County, CA – Several People Hospitalized After Pursuit Led to Reckless Two-Vehicle Collision Near Van Ness

Several people were hospitalized following a reckless two-vehicle collision in downtown Fresno on Sunday evening, March 31, 2024.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. near Van Ness and Fulton.

A stolen vehicle occupied by two teens allegedly failed to stop at a red light. Nearby officers pursued the vehicle before losing track of it.

The stolen vehicle later collided with another vehicle carrying a 17-year-old and two women. All three complained of pain and were transported to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The two teenagers inside the stolen vehicle were also hospitalized. It is unclear if they suffered injuries.

The authorities have not released further information about the collision.
