According to the Riverside Police Department, a 58-year-old Jurupa Valley woman was killed in a head-on car crash in Riverside on Friday afternoon, April 1, 2022.
The fatal crash occurred around 3:11 p.m. near Buena Vista Avenue and Indian Hill Road.
The woman was driving a red 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer near Buena Vista Avenue and Indian Hill Road when another car, a black 2018 Audi sedan driven by an 18-year-old Jurupa Valley man, crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided head-on with the woman’s car, according to police.
According to Riverside police, the woman was taken to a nearby hospital and died as a result of her injuries.
Her identity has yet to be disclosed.
The man was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
It has still to be determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
