[04-05-2023] Ventura County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash in Oxnard Resulted in One Fatality

04-05-2023-Two-Vehicle-Crash-in-Oxnard-Resulted-in-One-Fatality-One person succumbed to their injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Oxnard on Wednesday morning, April 5, 2023.

The deadly collision reportedly occurred around 5:09 a.m. near Victoria Avenue and Teal Club Road.

According to authorities, the victim was driving a 1993 Toyota Corolla westbound and collided with a northbound 2020 Chevy pickup truck when it approached the Victoria junction. Responders immediately rushed to the scene and pronounced that the victim had died.

The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of their next of kin. Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver remained at the scene and assisted investigators.

The primarily rural intersection has stop signs on Teal Club Road but none on Victoria Avenue. According to officials, the speed limit in Victoria is 55 mph.

It is not believed that alcohol played a role in the crash, and further investigations are ongoing.
