The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred at about 7:09 a.m. at the intersection of Avenida La Pata and Stallion Ridge.

The responding officers arrived at the scene and located one person suffering from moderate to major wounds. They were transported to Mission Hospital in an unknown state.

It’s unclear whether the injured individual was the rider or an occupant of the vehicle. It’s also unknown what exactly led to the collision.

No further information was immediately available. The intersection was shut down to traffic as the investigation continued.
