According to fire officials, two people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, and three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A sixth person refused to be taken to the hospital.

There were no immediate details about what caused the crash.

The Coachella festival, which attracts about 125,000 people per day, had a significant impact on traffic in the area.
The crash took place about two miles from the festival grounds.
