A woman died, and a man was critically injured in a reckless street racing collision in Pomona on Thursday evening, April 27, 2023.
Pomona Police Department said the incident occurred at 11:49 p.m. in the Holt and Clark Avenues area.
As per the report, authorities found two sedans that had collided. The injured man’s sedan may have been engaged in a race with another vehicle heading westbound on Holt before the collision. Still, law enforcement has not yet verified this information.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department assisted the male driver and a female passenger with their injuries. The driver was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, while the woman, approximately 30 years old, was declared dead at the location. The driver of the other sedan was not injured.
The Major Accident Investigation Team of the department is currently investigating the collision.
