[05-01-2023] Orange County, CA – One Person Sent to Hospital in Garden Grove Traffic Collision that Caused Chemical Spill

One person was hospitalized following a traffic collision that caused a chemical spill in Garden Grove on Monday, May 01, 2023.

The Orange County Fire Authority reported that the collision occurred at the intersection of Augusta Drive and Dale Street.

It remains unclear how the accident happened, which resulted in pool cleaning chemicals spilling on the roadway.

Two individuals were evaluated by the responding paramedics while the chemicals were neutralized and mitigated by the OCFA Hazardous Materials Response Team.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor complaints, while the other declined to be transported. Neither of them was identified.

The number of vehicles involved remains unclear as the investigation into the crash continues.
