[05-09-2025] Los Angeles County, CA โ€“ One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Franklin Avenue in Hollywood

One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Friday night, May 9, 2025.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred just before midnight on Franklin Avenue. Authorities say the driver of a vehicle traveling westbound made an unsafe lane change and struck the rear of another vehicle.

The impacted vehicle rolled and collided with a light pole. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.

The driver who initiated the unsafe lane change also collided with a third vehicle. It is unclear if any additional injuries occurred.

Authorities have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
