[05-12-2026] San Diego County, CA – Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle in Pacific Beach

A 67-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being struck by an SUV in San Diego’s Pacific Beach neighborhood on Tuesday night, May 12, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Reed Avenue.

Authorities stated that a 25-year-old man driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound on Reed Avenue was making a northbound turn onto Mission Boulevard when he struck the woman as she walked in the northern crosswalk.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with a fractured pelvis. Officials have not released an updated condition.

Police said that driving under the influence was not believed to be a factor in the incident. Officers with the SDPD Traffic Division responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
