Two individuals were severely injured in a two-vehicle collision in Glenn County on Tuesday morning, May 16, 2023.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred on Highway 162 near Cherry Street.
According to the report, the driver of a Cadillac SRX initially veered off the road and made an attempt to regain control but was unsuccessful. Concurrently, the driver of a Honda CR-V tried to avoid the Cadillac but ultimately collided with each other.
Two passengers from the Cadillac were taken to the hospital. One woman was transported by ground ambulance to Enloe Medical Center, while a child was airlifted to UC Davis.
CHP remained at the scene, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
