[05-17-2023] Kern County, CA – At Least One Person Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 58 and 99 in Bakersfield

At least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Bakersfield on Wednesday morning, May 17, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred on westbound Highway 58 near Highway 99.

As per the report, a collision involving a semi-truck, a sedan, and a Ford resulted in the blockage of the number one and two lanes. The incident is classified as a minor injury crash.

Caltrans advises motorists to expect delays in the area, as a backup extends for about one mile. A specific time has yet to be provided for the lanes reopening.
