[05-25-2023] Sacramento County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Killed After Possible Hit-And-Run Collision on State Route 244

An unidentified pedestrian was killed after a possible hit-and-run crash in Sacramento on Thursday morning, May 25, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on State Route 244 near the junction of Interstate 80 and Business 80.

Officials said that the body was discovered on the freeway’s right shoulder at about 6:18 a.m., but the exact time of the collision is unknown.

As the investigation into the collision continued, no additional information about the involved vehicle was immediately available.
