According to police, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a city vehicle used by the Los Angeles Police Department on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball, the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on the northbound Hollywood (170) Freeway at Victory Boulevard.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The city vehicle’s front end was severely damaged in the collision.
One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
According to LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli, an LAPD civilian was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
