[06-06-2022] San Diego County, CA - Delivery Driver Injured in Car Crash in South Park NeighborhoodAccording to San Diego Police, one man was injured in a crash in San Diego on Monday, June 6, 2022.

The crash occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m. at a flower shop in the South Park neighborhood.

A DoorDash driver making a delivery to a customer in North Park noticed a woman attempting to steal his vehicle.

The driver jumped onto the roof as the woman drove away in his car.

As the woman drove south, the DoorDash driver was ejected from the car’s roof.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

After fleeing the scene, the woman crashed into the Native Poppy flower shop in South Park.

At that point, police say she fled and hid in a canyon, where officers later discovered her and apprehended her.

The identity of the woman involved has been disclosed. Police have not stated whether they believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
