What To Do After A Car Accident

Car accidents can happen unexpectedly, but knowing the right steps to take afterward can help with your recovery. Our Los Angeles car accident lawyers suggest the following actions:

  1. See a doctor promptly after the accident, even if you don’t feel pain right away. A medical check-up helps identify any hidden injuries and creates a record that can support your claim later.
  2. Collect key information from everyone involved in the accident, including their names, contact details, driver’s license numbers, and insurance information. If there are witnesses, ask for their contact details and a brief account of what they observed.
  3. Take photos of the scene, vehicles, license plates, and visible injuries. Write down important details such as the time, date, location, and weather. Keep records of all medical bills, expenses, and any pain or disruptions to your daily life.
  4. Notify the authorities by calling the police to file a report. Inform your insurance company about the accident so they can explain your coverage and advise you on the next steps.
  5. Contact Arash Law at (888) 488-1391 if you have questions about your rights and the claims process. Our Los Angeles car accident lawyers are here to guide you.
