[06-24-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Elderly Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Rancho Cucamonga Crash

An 80-year-old woman pedestrian was fatally struck by a car in Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday afternoon, June 24, 2023.

The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department received a report of the incident at around 1:11 p.m. on Archibald Avenue and Tryon Street.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, an elderly woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle.

Following the collision, the unidentified victim was transported by American Medical Response to Pomona Valley Medical Center. Sadly, hospital staff pronounced her deceased at approximately 6:30 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident, a 70-year-old man, remained at the scene. No signs of drugs or alcohol were detected.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
