[06-25-2022] Stanislaus County, CA - Two-Month-Old Baby Trapped Inside Truck Following Hit-and-Run Crash in ModestoMultiple passengers were injured, and a two-month-old baby was trapped inside a truck after a hit-and-run crash in Modesto Saturday morning, June 25, 2022.

According to the Modesto Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of High Street and Cedar Avenue.

According to the police, the suspect was traveling quickly west on Cedar Avenue as it approached High Street before he ran the stop sign.

Two people rushed to the scene to help after the crash spilled into their yard.

A video was shown that a group of Good Samaritans was attempting to remove the baby.

According to the investigators, all passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their wounds. The infant was flown to the hospital as a precaution.

A department spokesperson reported that there hadn’t been any arrests yet.

The crash remains under investigation.
