[06-30-2023] Pedestrian Killed After Santa Clarita Vehicle Collision on I-5 near Valencia BoulevardA pedestrian was killed after a vehicle collision on Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita on Friday night, June 30, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Interstate 5 near Valencia Boulevard at around 10:30 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene. There is no information regarding the condition of the vehicle’s driver and occupants, if any. The identities of the individuals involved in the accident have not been disclosed.

There have been no available reports as to how exactly the accident happened. After the collision, the authorities issued a SIG alert for lanes 3 and 4 of Interstate 5 northbound. It began at 11:18 p.m. and ended at 1:36 a.m.

Authorities are still conducting their investigation.
