[07-01-2026] Fresno County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Pickup Truck on Highway 41 Near Divisadero St.

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a pickup truck on Highway 41 in Fresno on Wednesday evening, July 1, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the incident at around 5 p.m. on northbound Highway 41 near Divisadero Street.

Authorities said an adult man was walking east across the northbound lanes when he entered the path of a northbound Dodge pickup truck traveling in the middle lane. The driver, a 37-year-old Fowler man, was unable to avoid the collision.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. CHP reported that alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.

The CHP continues to investigate the incident.
