[07-02-2022] Santa Barbara County, CA - Two People Dead, Another Two in Non-Life Threatening Injuries After a Two-Vehicle Collision in Orcutt AreaAccording to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a two-vehicle collision left two people dead and four others injured in the Orcutt area Saturday night, July 2, 2022.

According to Capt. Scott Safechuc, crews responded to the accident around 10:17 p.m. on Highway 1 and Highway 135 near Orcutt.

The collision resulted in the deaths of two individuals, while two others sustained injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Ambulances took the patients to the Marion Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating to determine what caused the accident and is not yet able to release information regarding the victims’ ages, genders, or names.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
