According to the Rancho Cordova Police Department, a woman was hit and killed by a car while walking across a crosswalk in Rancho Cordova Monday, July 4, 2022.
Rancho Cordova Police report that the deadly hit-and-run happened around 2:00 a.m. near Highway 50’s westbound onramp on Sunrise Boulevard.
According to Rancho Cordova Police, the driver who struck the woman as she crossed the street in the crosswalk left the area. As soon as they arrived, investigators conducted witness interviews and evidence gathering.
The deceased woman’s identity has not been made public.
Police have not apprehended any suspects or identified the driver in this incident. Anyone with information or who may have seen it is asked to call the Traffic Unit at 916-875-9632, according to officials.
