[07-11-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Hit-and-Run Vehicle Leaves Elderly Pedestrian in Critical Condition in Pacoima

A man in his late 60s was in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Pacoima, Los Angeles, on Tuesday evening, July 11, 2023.

Emergency responders responded to the incident on Glenoaks Boulevard, just north of Montford Street, around 6:15 p.m.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a light-colored, potentially silver sedan was traveling at high speed northbound on Glenoaks Boulevard. It then veered towards the right, crossed the bicycle lane, and collided with the pedestrian.

The victim had been standing next to the driver’s door of his legally parked vehicle when the collision occurred. The unidentified pedestrian was promptly transported to a hospital for treatment.

The City of Los Angeles has offered a standing reward of up to $25,000 for any details that lead to the resolution of non-fatal hit-and-run cases.
