[07-13-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Dump Truck vs. Car Collision in Twentynine Palms

The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at Twentynine Palms Highway near Copper Mountain College at about 9:00 a.m.

An eastbound white Honda swerved across all four lanes of the highway and collided with a big-rig dump truck near the Joshua Tree rotary road.

The Honda driver died in the collision, while the dump truck driver was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.

The killed driver was identified as a 32-year-old resident of Joshua Tree. Other details about the people’s identities still needed to be released.

The investigation into the crash continues.
