[07-13-2023] One Killed, Another Injured in Dump Truck vs. Car Collision in Twentynine PalmsThe California Highway Patrol responded to the accident at Twentynine Palms Highway near Copper Mountain College at about 9:00 a.m.

An eastbound white Honda swerved across all four lanes of the highway and collided with a big-rig dump truck near the Joshua Tree rotary road.

The Honda driver died in the collision, while the dump truck driver was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.

The killed driver was identified as a 32-year-old resident of Joshua Tree. Other details about the people’s identities still needed to be released.

The investigation into the crash continues.
