[07-15-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – 57-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Freightliner in Santa Clarita

A 57-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a Freightliner in Santa Clarita on Saturday evening, July 15, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 8:00 p.m. on Highway 14, south of Sand Canyon Road.

The victim was standing beside a parked car on the side of the road when he walked into oncoming traffic and was fatally struck by a Freightliner traveling northbound.

Information on the identities of the victim and the driver remains undisclosed. Reports also indicate that another vehicle may have been involved.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal crash.
