According to the San Jose Police Department, a hit-and-run collision left a pedestrian dead in San Jose Sunday, July 17, 2022.
The fatal pedestrian crash occurred Sunday night in the area of Story Road and Kollmar Drive.
According to the police, a vehicle ran over a pedestrian standing in the roadway at the time of the collision.
The driver managed to get away, but they could not locate or identify them.
At the scene, it was determined that the pedestrian had passed away.
It appears that speed was a contributing factor in the collision; however, the police have not yet determined whether or not the accident was caused by alcohol or drugs.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
