[07-18-2022] Alameda County, CA - One Person is Dead After Being Struck by BART Train near HaywardAccording to the Bay Area Rapid Transportation (BART), a person has succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a train in Hayward Monday afternoon, July 18, 2022.

According to the authorities, the crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. near the Hayward station.
During the broadlight of Monday the person stepped onto the tracks and was struck by BART.
The reason for the person’s entry into the tracks is unknown at this point.

The BART services were canceled around the area but were restored to full service after some time.
The accident caused major delays in the Berryessa Line in the Berryessa, Millbrae, and Richmond directions.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
