[07-19-2026] Ventura County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Jeep Wrangler in Oxnard

A 65-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with a Jeep Wrangler in Oxnard on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 4:36 p.m. at the intersection of Channel Islands Boulevard and Manzanita Drive.

A 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, ridden by the victim, was traveling westbound when a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 63-year-old Camarillo man, attempted a left turn from southbound Manzanita Drive onto Channel Islands Boulevard. The motorcyclist struck the driver’s side while attempting to avoid the Jeep.

Bystanders and officers provided lifesaving measures before emergency crews transported the rider to Ventura County Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Jeep driver was uninjured and cooperating with investigators. Police reported that speed was not a factor and that no impairment was observed.

The investigation remains ongoing.
