The responding authorities from the sheriff’s office found a Hispanic man who suffered major injuries from a hit-and-run crash in Salida on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
According to the sheriff’s office, the accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Broadway Avenue near Salida Boulevard.
The authorities took him to a nearby hospital.
Neither the driver nor the car that hit the man was there when law enforcement arrived on the scene.
Sheriff’s authorities suspect the victim was “deliberately struck, not by accident.”
The case is still under investigation.
