[07-25-2023] Stanislaus County, CA – Bicycle vs. Vehicle Collision in Turlock Turned Into Hit-and-Run and Assault Incident, One Man Injured

A bicyclist was injured after a collision with a vehicle that turned into a hit-and-run and assault incident in Turlock on Tuesday evening, July 25, 2023.

The Turlock Police Department responded to the accident in the 2100 block of Geer Road around 11:34 p.m.

A vehicle and a man riding his bicycle accidentally collided. The vehicle’s occupants picked up a brick, hit the victim in the head, and fled southbound on Geer Road after getting angry at the victim.

The victim was found lying on the road face down, breathing but not responding. Upon the arrival of firefighters and paramedics, he regained consciousness. The patient was treated on scene but refused transportation to a local hospital.

The bicyclist was described as a 36-year-old Hispanic man. There were no further details available.

Authorities are still conducting their investigation.
