[07-26-2022] San Diego County, CA – 40-Year-Old Woman and Child Injured in Hit-And-Run Collision

According to the San Diego police department, two people were injured after a hit-and-run struck them in the Egger Highlands area Tuesday, July 26, 2022

The crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. on the 1500 block of Palm Avenue and 16th Avenue.

When a car turning left from 16th Avenue struck a 40-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl crossing the 1500 block of Palm Avenue in a crosswalk, they were both pedestrians.

After stopping, the female driver returned to her vehicle and continued driving.

A small, dark-colored SUV with damage to the front headlight on the driver’s side is how the car is described.

The child sustained only minor wounds, while the woman was taken to the hospital to receive treatment of severe injuries.
