The Oakland Police Department reported the incident around 5:00 p.m. at 32nd Street and West Street in West Oakland.

Undercover officers witnessed a carjacking, promptly followed by a brief pursuit and the deployment of an OPD helicopter.

The carjackers were part of a larger group operating multiple vehicles. During the pursuit, one of the suspect vehicles collided with a marked OPD car.

Consequently, multiple individuals were arrested, and the police recovered a firearm at the scene. The four injured comprised two officers, one victim, and one suspect.
