[07-31-2022] Alameda County, California- Pedestrian Killed in DUI Crash, Driver ArrestedAccording to the Dublin Police, an SUV struck and killed a woman walking in the middle of a Dublin street on Sunday evening, July 31, 2022.

According to the authorities, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. along the 6200 block of Dougherty Road, just north of Dublin Blvd., The pedestrian was walking in the southbound lanes when a Chevrolet SUV struck her.

Despite the efforts of Alameda County Fire Department crews and medics, the woman was pronounced dead.

Giovanni Fissore, 42, the SUV driver, remained at the scene and was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

The victim’s identity was withheld until the county coroner’s office could notify her family.
