An employee was killed after being struck by a vehicle while working in Lodi on Thursday morning, August 3, 2023.

The local authorities responded to the accident at Central Avenue and Watson Street intersection around 7:30 a.m.

An employee of Lodi Public Works was injured after being struck by a vehicle while working. The injured worker was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to their wounds.

There are no reports of whether the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. People involved in the case were not identified.
