[08-04-2022] Several People Injured in Multiple Vehicle Collision on Interstate 8Seven people had various injuries after a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 8 Thursday morning.

The collision happened at around 10: 30 a.m. near Winterhaven.

According to local authorities, there were four passengers in one car. Three people were in the other vehicle. Only the driver was in the semi-truck.

They transported the seven people with various injuries to Yuma Regional Medical Center. Some might need to be taken to outside hospitals, but it was still unclear.

The semi-truck driver declined medical assistance. The driver is assisting with the investigation.

According to the CHP, the semi-truck driver was driving on Interstate 8 in the opposite direction when he struck one of the cars from behind, causing the other vehicle to advance and crash into the third car.
