[08-05-2023] Kern County, CA – Pedestrian Suffered Injuries After Hit-and-Run Crash in Southeast Bakersfield

A pedestrian was injured following a hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield on Thursday evening, August 05, 2023.

According to the California Highway Department, the incident occured at about 9:30 p.m. near Fairfax Road and Edison Highway in southeast Bakersfield.

Officers said the pedestrian was reportedly struck by a car. The events leading up to it are unknown at this point, pending an investigation.

The victim was sent to Kern Medical with unspecified injuries and in unknown condition.
