According to the California Highway Patrol, on Saturday, August 06, 2022, a 56-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a car in Orangevale on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
According to the CHP, the driver struck a pedestrian crossing Greenback Lane near Walnut Avenue in Orangevale shortly after 10 p.m.
After hitting the pedestrian, the driver did not stop and fled the scene. According to the CHP, the woman died as a result of her injuries.
On Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol requested public assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal pedestrian accident.
Investigators identified the vehicle as a dark maroon/brown 2007-08 Honda Element SC. They believe the crash will have damaged the Honda’s left front corner.
