[08-08-2022] Fresno County, CA – Two Persons Fatally Struck in Traffic Accident near Mendota

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials, two people died in a traffic crash near Mendota on Sunday evening, August 07, 2022.

The collision happened shortly before midnight at the intersection of California and San Diego avenues.

According to the CHP, a car was northbound on San Diego Avenue when it failed to stop at a stop sign. A pickup truck was driving west on California Avenue when the two cars crashed, killing both drivers.

There were no other people involved in the collision.

The case is under investigation.
