[08-09-2022] Orange County, CA - One Bicyclist Killed in Fatal DUI Crash in Huntington BeachAn unidentified cyclist was killed in a fatal DUI collision in Huntington Beach on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

The crash occurred around 6:00 p.m. north of Admiralty Drive.

According to spokeswoman Jessica Cuchilla, a black 2018 Toyota RAV4 had hit a bicycle when Huntington Beach Police Department officers were called to the scene.

According to the investigating officers’ findings, the RAV4 struck the bicyclist who was going north on Pacific Coast Highway in the southbound lanes of the highway, north of Admiralty Drive.

According to Cuchilla, the cyclist was injured and taken to a hospital, where he later passed away.

Police identified the Toyota RAV4’s driver as Huntington Beach resident Barbara Front, who was detained on suspicion of DUI while she was still on the scene.
