An elderly woman was injured after a high-speed pursuit resulted in a crash in Chula Vista on Saturday evening, August 12, 2023.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the events unfolded after two males were apprehended for shoplifting at a Target store.
The report said the driver veered into traffic moving in the opposite direction and lost control, leading to a collision with a van driven by an elderly woman with disabilities.
Tragically, the senior woman suffered injuries due to the impact and was transported to a medical facility due to the pain she experienced.
After the incident, the suspects were placed under arrest.
The investigation is ongoing.
