[08-14-2023] Fresno County, CA – Woman Fatally Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle on Clovis and Shields Avenues

A vehicle in Fresno struck and killed a woman on Monday morning, August 14, 2023.

The Fresno Police Department responded to the accident around 1:50 a.m. on Clovis and Shields Avenues.

After hitting something, the man exited his car while driving to work. As soon as he realized he had hit someone, he called 911. A woman was found injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the authorities. The identities of the people involved in the crash were not released.

As the investigation into the crash continues, no drugs or alcohol are suspected to have been involved.
