One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Citrus Heights on Sunday night, August 24, 2025.

According to the Citrus Heights Police Department, the crash was reported at 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Fleetwood Drive.

Authorities said the collision involved an overturned pickup truck and a sedan, both of which sustained major damage. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.

Police reported that the pickup truck driver was uninjured and remained at the scene.
