[09-07-2026] Fresno County, CA – Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle on Olive Ave.

A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Fresno’s Tower District on Monday evening, September 7, 2026.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Olive Avenue near Palm Avenue.

Fresno Police Lt. Alfonso Castillo said a vehicle was traveling westbound on Olive Avenue at the speed limit when a man walked in front of it. The pedestrian sustained significant injuries and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officers. Castillo said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
